Bifold

For dramatic opening, Altherm™ bi-folds are a great option. They can be built in a range of configurations – all capable of stacking to one end of the frame. The innovative lay-back bi-fold allows clear decks, with panels folding flat against walls. This option is available in 2-panel and 2+2 configurations. No special detailing of the lintel is required – they are installed like any other bi-fold.

Sliding

Altherm™ horizontal sliders come into their own when you need a window that doesn’t project on to walkways and patios. They are also ideal in serving situations for passing food from a kitchen to outside diners. Two types of vertical sliding window are offered by Altherm™, the standard double hung with a traditional or contemporary style frame, and the Shugg window, which offers an all-glass look with no horizontal rails.

Please note: Thermal Heart™ is only available in horizontal sliding windows.

Awning & Casement

Awning windows provide a degree of weather protection when open, while casements direct breezes inside. A range of shapes, sizes and configurations are available. Altherm™ window frames have recently been widened to add more strength and allow thicker double glazed units to be used, further enhancing insulation and thermal performance.

Doors

Altherm™ has a stunning door range to meet every need – from formal entrance doors, to sliders and bi-folds. There are numerous formats, features and hardware options to choose from. Particularly attractive is the range of aluminium entrance doors: from panels with more traditional design touches to contemporary formats that feature tongue-and-groove planks or ‘flat sheet’ minimalism.

Entry

Altherm™ offers you a wide range of entry doors. Latitude and Axis entry doors which are a tongue-and-groove aluminium construction with a clean, linear format combining high strength and durability, Plasma Doors for a clean, architectural look to Classic Door for a more imparting traditional style to your entry.

Bifold

Sweeping views and welcome breezes can be yours with wide opening Altherm™ bi-folding doors. Altherm™ has a smooth running and reliable bi-fold system that copes easily with a large opening span. The ultimate in clear decks is possible with the ultra-convenient ‘lay-back’ bi-fold where the doors swing back against adjoining walls. They don’t project out and potentially obstruct decks and walkways (available in 2-panel, 2+1 and 2+2 configurations).

Sliding

The smooth operation of Altherm™ sliding doors makes them a pleasure to open and close. They strike just the right balance between solidity and mobility. In addition to standard sliding door formats, Altherm™ has a double slider available where two sliding panels sit within a frame and either can be moved. This gives the homeowner maximum flexibility in choice of egress or entry. Altherm™ twin sliders go the extra distance in linking the indoors and outdoors. By opening up to two-thirds of their width twin sliding doors create a panoramic expanse.

Hinged

Glazed doors using standard aluminium profiles and glass panes offer maximum light entry and are ideal as utility doors in side yards or back yards. Because these doors are made from standard aluminium stiles and rails they can be linked with over lights and sidelights in a wide range of configurations

Easy glide sliding doors

A new sliding door system with innovative ‘flush line’ sill and easy-glide panels is now available from Altherm Window Systems™.
Aesthetics and smooth operation are the driving force behind the new offering in mainstream residential sliders.

• New clean flush line sill simplifies styling.
• Easier achievement of flush floor look with minimal up stands to the outside.
• New roller and track system copes easily with heavier, double glazed sliders.
• Opening and closing require minimal effort.
• Bottom-rolling system puts the weight on the sill rather than the lintel – minimal likelihood of sag and binding doors.
• Two choices of sill threshold – sloping and square.
• Square threshold further accentuates flush interior-to-exterior sightlines.
